Translating Science from Bench to Bedside: How to Build the Right Mindset for Creating An Impact

Imrul Shahriar obtained his Ph.D. from the Department of Chemistry at Purdue University, where he worked with Dr. Philip S. Low on the development of targeted antiviral and cancer immunotherapies, with a primary focus on developing therapeutic strategies against influenza and other enveloped viruses. Imrul began his academic journey with a BS (Honors) in Chemistry from the University of Dhaka, Bangladesh, and received the prestigious Ross Fellowship from Purdue Graduate School to pursue his doctoral studies. He currently serves as the Director of Discovery at Eradivir Inc., a biotech startup co-founded by Dr. Low, where he is working on expansion of the company's BAiT platform across multiple infectious diseases and oncology. Through this role, Imrul is committed to translating laboratory discoveries into tangible treatments for patients, guiding innovations from inception to real-world implementation.
